i fill mine with a hose so just drop half in at the start and the other half in just before the end.

How do you mix your water conditioner with your tank water?????

I do About 250g+ worth of W/changes a week. I use TetraAqua AquaSafe. In the 300 I put a liitle in,start the hose then add the rest. on the smaller tanks I premix in the buckets. I worried about this for a long time on the big tank. read and studied. everyone has a differant opinion. Seems like as long as the stuff does get added all's well. It's supposed to work immediatly. Alll the bottle says is to make sure the temp is the same.

I do now but except on very cold days it isnt very cold at all. New zealand is in the sub- tropics. I used to use warm water until i found out about heavy metal poisoning. Humans can be killed by some metals. The water only drops 1-2 degrees max unless I do at least a 50% water change.
