Hey guys! just wondering how I should prepare any shimp or prawns i decide to feed to my aro. So im assuming you de shell it. then do you cut it up and feed it raw or do you cook it? and if you do how do you cook it?

Thanks!

i feed my jar raw shrimp, just make sure you clean it very well

There is no need to cook it, just take off the shell and give it to him, if he is only used to live foods you may use a light feeder stick at the beggining.

mine are too small to eat whole ones, so I have to cut them up, but they are raw. I hear a lot of people just throw them in there, shell and all if the fish are big enough to eat them.

dont cook, remove shell and thats it. if the fish are too small, then cut it up into smaller pieces

my friends jardini has learned how to remove and spit out the shell before eating the shrimp, so removing the shell depends on your fish i guess

Just fed mine shrimp for the 1st time. De shelled and no tail. I cut em up into chunks. The oscars we not sure at first but ate em. Dats went bizerk:grinno::grinno: Loved em. I soaked the shrimp for a bit in warm water and washed them a second time without the shell.
