How do you pronounce fahaka and mbu?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I already explained why it's pronounced the way it is.

I pronounce mbu as "oom-boo." At school I browsed through the Rosetta Stone for Swahili, and any of their words that started with "m" were pronounced "oom". Man, mwanaume, was pronounced oom-wah-nah-oo-meh by the pre-recorded voice.

Now you got it! :D

I 'thought' it was MAH-BOO
I'm not here to challenge the fact that it's pronounced the way it is..

That aside, I've heard that there are many beautiful 'inspiration quotes' originating from Swahili

Fahaka:
I want to kick that Fa-ha-ka in the face.= Fahaka

Mbu:
EMM-Boo, you look so DAMN fine!!!= Mbu

:ROFL:You should be a judge at a spelling bee contest, and when they ask, "Can you use that in a sentence?" work your magic.

Haha, I was actually in Boston on a research trip a few months ago so I can really appreciate the hilarity.

I nearly puked at this one restaurant eating too fresh of lobster though, you could literally taste the water..

Wrong on the mbu pronunciation.
