How do you properly plant plants in a 70g?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Like I said a few hours ago I'll just get something like a stepping stool.

Thanks, But, this tank is 5 foot long and over a foot deep (18 inches) I couldn't possibly hold the plant down, I would need something long to hold it down, I wouldn't be able to reach the gravel.
Your reply made me shoot pop out of my nose. Alls I could picture is someone with t-rex arms trying to push plants in.

On a side note, they do sell planting tools at most LFS that include a grabber that would hold the roots at a distance.

I bought some for my 425 but it just ends up being easier getting my arms wet to my shoulders when replanting.

I had the same thought lmao. i'm 6'6" and have no problem hoisting 50lb boulders in and out of my 30" deep african tank.

If you're that afraid of the water, or you have legitimate fears of on the fish in said tank, they do sell little gripper tools for feeding hyper aggressive fish or handling coral frags. looks kind of like that tool janitors use to pick up trash.
