How do you put back water in the tank?

OP I think you need to do a WC right now it will help alot to understand how simple it is. I used to be the same way.

You just guess the same temp of water. After you do WC's over and over and over you just feel the tank water then just guess. Believe me very few people actually put up a thermometer to the python's flow and make sure it's exactly the same temp.
heres what i do.
1. i use a normal gravel vac with a long hose and siphon the water in the shower drain. (you can also siphon it out the door, window, sink, shower, or bucket)
2. i fill up a 5 gallon bucket and add the water to the tank.
3.then i fill another, and another, and another. i keep doing that until its full.
4. i don't need a dechlorinate or water treater because i have well water. if you do need to treat your water, then you can put it in right after your done filling up the tank.
5. then i turn my sump back on and i'm done.
it only takes 30-120 minutes (depending on how much water i take out) to do it on a 120gallon tank.

No offense, but WORD the question more carefully. If u need to know about the use of a dechlorinator, ask about a dechlorinator. I always put the appropriate amount of Prime in right before I use my Python to add water of the correct temperature back into the tank (with the fish still in it).

Also I agree with most but if it takes 120 minutes as in 2 hours to fill with buckets you might want to put the dechlorinator in before you fill. In 2 hours the fish could easily be dead by then or your BB could be shot. You have well water(I used to also) so it doesn't matter but to others.
