1. i use a normal gravel vac with a long hose and siphon the water in the shower drain. (you can also siphon it out the door, window, sink, shower, or bucket)
2. i fill up a 5 gallon bucket and add the water to the tank.
3.then i fill another, and another, and another. i keep doing that until its full.
4. i don't need a dechlorinate or water treater because i have well water. if you do need to treat your water, then you can put it in right after your done filling up the tank.
5. then i turn my sump back on and i'm done.
it only takes 30-120 minutes (depending on how much water i take out) to do it on a 120gallon tank.
