I bought superworms to feed my aro before and that's his favorite food. But the last time I bought superworms for him, they started changing into beetles and I couldn't use them anymore. Is there any way to stop them from becoming beetles? I want to buy about 200 of them and keep them under my tank but I only give my aro about 5 per feeding.

Keep a lot together. So they are crawling all over each other. If they have a places to themselves they turn into beetles. Or keep turning substrate that they are in. If they are messed up they just do t turn into them. Don't isolate them is really what I'm saying

I think ur confusing super worms with mealworms.

Superworms ONLY turn into Beatles if u leave one by themselves.

Mealworms will always turn into Beatles regardless

superworms die when you refrigerate them. do not refrigerate them.

i used to keep superworms under my fish tank about 500 at a time i agree with crowding them together

feed the beetles to the aro. I fed the beetles to my sunfish and you get to hear them crunch the shell.

Also what 8usmickey and evilobster said is also true.

arowana will eat beetles so you can still feed them to your fish!
