While many of us think that the next level is always a bigger tank and bigger fish...I believe that it's doing something to push your skills and knowledge. For me...I decided to go Planted. I've never had luck keeping plants and fish together so I tried plants. My Fluval Edge grew out of control and now most of it died off due to neglect (had to move and didn't take it with me):(. And the only thing going strong are the Java Moss (doing a little too well:irked:) and Anubias Nana Petites (my favorite;)). And now...

I agree with you Ben. Instaid of going bigger I tried a small betta planted tank, which is pretty fun so far. I do agree that instaid of constantly going bigger and bigger, try salt, brackish, planted, something to change it up. By the way the tank looks nice.

I plan to try salt next, need to research and see what direction I want to take it though.

Nice little planted tank, they're always fun.

I suck at plants, really I don't think I've ever had the proper equipment.. ... so doing a reef, probably would not be a good idea :(...

so I've been thinking about breeding :D.. maybe ..

or jeez, with the time I have just keeping the fish I have happy..

Good point as far as moving on to bigger tanks.I bought my biggest tank yet a few months ago and still have yet to even set it up.....I remember when getting into salt was the next level for me,then it was keeping sharks.....never had a desire to go reef though.I enjoy looking at the pictures of the different planted tanks and I think that area of the hobby will be my next level.

Nice nano planted, are you going to make it a shrimp tank? But if you have the right conditions you could have dwarf baby tears as a carpet plant for the next level look

To me, I think several completely different 75 gallon setups are perfect. 75g is big enough to be able to attempt really anything but the biggest monsters, and small enough to still keep everything under control.

That said, my dream is a 10' planted tank with a crap load of rainbows and dwarf cichlids.

Thanks for all the comps:)
I got some HC, A. Nana Petite, and a Micro Sword. Once the HC carpets, I'll probably get some Shrimp and maybe Scarlet Badis Badis.

But I'd like to hear what everyone would like to do next? I know it can become stagnant after awhile...so what do you do to keep yourself interested in the hobby?
