How Do You Take It To The Next Level?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
People don't always know how to take things in written form. The way one person reads a remark may be quite different to someone else. Anyway, now that the derail is over.. continue...

If he wanted to get a rise out of me, he failed. After all...this is my next level and not his. I actually find it funny that it seems that I somehow offended him with my tank, lol!

Anyways...it's good to hear so many people are trying to push themselves and not just stick to the same theme. I stuck to the same theme for so long until I saw some pics of some planted tanks and it got my brain going again. This hobby offers so many different challenges, but getting it to a level where you feel comfortable with your skill is an art form;)

glad you feel that way. I still doubt they were trying to get a rise. The culture in nano planteds is a bit different than it is here.. a little more intense. Honestly they go all out with co2 injection, diffusers, glass pipes to remove them from view, slopes spaces to give the illusion of depth, special postioning of scaping such as rocks to follow a japanese form, etc..

The next level for me is reducing. Not reducing in number but in technology. I am working with a vermiponics system now. I don't have a water pump, sump, canister, pre filter, overflow, etc.. I have an air lift, a grow bed that is filled with teh air lift, and a bell siphon to return the water to the tank. 0,0,0 readings all day everyday.
