The Origional Question was "How do you tell a BP's gender" I posted pixs of the vent of male and female vents(egg tube/milk tube) to show Spikespet how to tell the gender between them.
SpikesPet I wouldnt go trying to vent them just to try to sex them, you could do damage to your fish. Much better just to wait for them to show naturally.
Venting is when you forceably removing eggs and milk from a fish to allow you to fertalize eggs. It happens all the time on trout and salmon farms.
When you vent a fish you are looking at the shape of the vent itself more V shaped is female I believe, I am not a "venting expert"
