Some times when feeding my payara they will hit the feeders once and let go and if the feeder quits moving they are done with it. It is like a nonmoving feeder is invisible to them. I have watched them lay there and wait for the dieing feeder to move for several minutes and as soon as the feeder shows any sign of life they gobble it down.------------My hujeta also do the curling action like a snake before they strike. They curve into a S shape and then go!.------------My bichir will swim into a school of feeders. And just move its head around like it is having a hard time deciding which one to grab. To me all the feeders look the same, but the bichir must see something different. Also after it makes its decision and grabs one it will allways go into a corner to eat it.
