How does my water param's look?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Looks good. Does your nitrates stay at 5ppm after a whole weeks of feeding? That be hard to believe if your not running any de nitrate media and plants. Or wait til u stock your rays tank with more monsters.

Well I do a water change every 2 to maybe 3 days being the most so it doesn't have to much time to build up also like I said I only have the one motoro in the 180 by herself right now so not much can build up and I have 2 fx5 filters running on it now and with my water coming out of the tap at 0 ppm for nitrates my water stays absolutely pristine but I don't wait a week for water changes I do atleast 2 a week and if I'm at home with extra time I do a few more water changes to keep the water extra clean which seems to keep my ray really happy which is all that matters to me :)

Ya I didn't read your thread thoroughly on only having the 1 ray in a 180g and that u do wc's every 2-3 days. That's good. I wish I had the time to do more water changes on my 450g. I do a massive 70-80% once a week due to my schedule. You also got me thinking on testing my tap waters nitrates and I'm lucky that it also comes out at 0ppm:)

wow you guys are lucky mine comes out at 10ppm and my nitrates are 15ppm with contant drip but not tested it after a feed

but nitrates are no big deal for rays they can live happy and breed at 80ppm

to tell the truth i never bother with water tests unless i see something wrong
