There is a ruler under the container so you can see the measurements.

The rash seems to look much better and he is paying on some weight. Today I received Seachem kanaplex today and gave the shark it's first dose. I also got an email from one of the biologists from the aquarium. He told me use the kanaplex and if in a week the rash isn't better he will give me something a little more concentrated to use.

Let the a piece of squid absorb the kanaplex and just fed it to her. I feed him in a separate container and left her in there for 10 minutes. I figured a lot of powder gets washed in the water so having her sit I the medicated water will benefical.

Zoodiver I am still waiting for your opinon on dosage. The label says one scoop should be mixed in with the food. Will on scoop be enough or should I add a little more. I know I didn't give detailed discription on what a scoop is. Thanks for your help and I appreciate. Don't forget I nominated you for one of the MFK awards so don't give me bad advice or else I will have to see about having it recalled. I am joking and once again appreciate your help.

The biologist at the aquarium wanted a weight so this was the best way I was able to get it done. Some of the tail was hanging off the scale do it might be a few grams heavier. I am pretty sure it read 57 grams but the video is dark and I was rushing and didn't look myself.

Sorry! This totally slipped my mind. I've never used the Seachem version of kanamycin - but their dosing is usually spot on with other products I've used. If it says a scoop - I trust that info. Kana is nice because it usually works if you go a little under or over on it. It seems to be very animal safe.

I figured I will give an update in case anyone is intrested. I used the seachem product and used a little more then the recommended dosage. It says to put one scoop in the food I did a scoop and little more then half. I did this because some of it will fall off and the shark is a little larger then the fish I seen them used for. I then turned off the pump to the main tank and dosed the shark tank with about half the recommended dosage. In the morning I turned the pump back on.

The red is gone and he eats a lot more. Before I medicated him he only ate one small piece of squid. Now he will eat 5 pieces even more of squid, clams, shrimp and Ocean Nutrition shark formula (which is now discontinued). In short I will recommend this medication. You should always follow the dosage but you don't have to worry about overdosing. I used almost double dosages each dosing. Gave 6 dosages over 9 day. The reccomend is once every 3 days for 3 days max.

Here is a video. He is missing the food because I am holding it high to try and get his stomach on the wall. In addition he is pretty bad at finding his food, he is getting better. I also usually drop it in front of him here he had to move a little.
