Regardless of how happy they look, that's entirely too small of a tank for 1 of those fish. They need room to swim. They have none.

It could be working because, maybe they all grew up together, they're all the same sex and there isn't enough room to establish a terratory. I wouldn't do it, but that is how it could be working.
