i really like my glo light but i want to have it hung from a pipe running over the tank and i think a style like yours would look alot better then two of the glo lights but ill have to compare prices and all but it seems to be a good price. i didnt notice on the review or the pictures is there a way to hang this fixture at all?

hmm, theres isnt a way to hang it the way it comes, but im sure it could be done easily. just take the fixture apart, drill your holes and attach the mounting point. the fixture comes apart easily and has a lot of room towards in the inside for attaching the bolts or screws or whatever youre gonna use to mount it
o ok cool one thing i dont like about the fixture is what wyld said about the water getting in but sorry to derail the thread.
with the hc thats hard to tell because everyones tank is different i have heard people with 4wpg that cant grow it at all and others with 2wpg that grow a perfect carpet so its up in the air lol but i would use as much light as you could through out the day as long as you keep everything balanced you should have a problem with that said though if somthing does get out of ballance things go bad faster with the more light you have.

yeah i took care of the splash guard problem easily. went to lowes and got some 1/16" acrylic and it slid right into the light! turns out this light has the rails built in for a splash guard, but they didnt include one. no more moisture issues 
and the sheet of acrylic only costs $7
