How does this stock list sound?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
In my opinion it seems like a lot of cichlids for a 4 foot tank. You already have one breeding pair and I'm sure you'll get at least one more from the JDs unless you specifically get all one sex.

Would do away with the convict pair. Will be no end of trouble.

The BGJDs are 3 female and 1 male. I'm hoping one female pairs with my EBJD(male) and the others will be sold. I'm also thinking of selling the green texas and vieja.

I may do that, or move them to their own tank. Thank you :)

Had a pair of convict spawn in the 120. Smallest fish in the tank and caused lot of problems. Finally gave them all away and the remaining fry were eaten. Except for one who now cruises peacefully.

So if I have

1x EBJD
1x BGJD
10x Giant Danios
6x Tiger Barbs
1x Rainbow Shark
1x Albino BN Pleco

Does that look like a better stock list for my 140? Out of the fish in my first post are there any that I could keep with the above fish?

Looks much better than the first. How are you planning on filtering this tank and what's your wc schedule going to look like?

I've got 2 canister filters one is an eheim 2217 and the other is a jeabo something or other but I am saving for an fx5. WC will be 50%-75% per week. Right now all these fish are scattered in different tanks but I was hoping to reduce the amount of tanks I have so was just seeing which fish I could put together and which I need to find new homes for. My main interest is the JDs but I really like my vieja, cons, and texas so I'm having a hard time deciding who's gotta go.
