hey guys this is my first thread and i have a piranha and i want to try and breed some feeders can you help me and if its not a good idea please dont hesitate to tell me (also any cool ideas for other food):)

Breeding them is easy.Having the room for the grow out tanks, and the patience for them to grow large enough is the hard part.
Get two 20 longs and two 10's,or more 20's. In one of the 20's put a pair of convicts. When they start to have fry, move the fry, once free swimming, into one of the 10's.As they grow larger, and you have more of them, put them in the 20.Once they grow large enough for your piranha, feed away.

thanks alot you said convicts as in cichlids

guppies work i have a 5 gallon bought about 20 i tinke i got like 30 ( feed them to my pike i would have more) but i have a sponge in thiere they do good

thanks for the post can you tell me more details please

Yeah,convict cichlids.
Guppies will work too,but unless you find a breeder with good stock, the ones you will find in a LFS will not be the best quality, they will also eat the fry.So that will leave you to have to watch and/or move the female before she gives birth.A PITA IME.
Convicts are great parents.Put them in a bare bottom tank with some clay flower pots, and the will breed like it's their job.I find it easiest to move the clay pot with the already hatched fry(before they are free swimming) with the female to a 10g.Then when the fry are free swimming and eating, move the female back with the male so they can start all over again.
Convicts fry also grow faster than guppy fry IME.Plus cichlids are just cooler than guppies.

Ummm i just bought 20 from my lfs and they started to breed you dont have to do any thig special my frys never got eaten i would go with guppies

ok thanks to both of you um so feed the piranha convicts? and about the guppies you didnt do anything but put them in the tank? do i need to put the heater to a specific temp

so feed the piranha convicts?
If you want to breed feeders for your P,that's what I would do. Guppies are known for eating their fry. It's not that there are not guppies out there that won't,but 90% of the time they will. It's totally up to you though. Just giving my 2 cents.
Good Luck!
