How far do you drive?

There is one store I go to about 30 min. away. One about 35 min. away. Two that are about 1 hour away, and my favorite is over 2 hours away. These are mostly for fish. For most equipment and supplies that I use, I order online. Even after shipping, it still saves me money. 85% of the time, the stores don't have what I want anyway.

45 minutes to an hour, depending on how many laws I end up breaking. The drive is worth it, Preuss Pets in Lansing is hands down the best fish shop I've ever visited. Anyone even close to Michigan (Lansing, specifically) needs to check it out atleast once.

I drive within about an hour and a half of my house. I am a sales rep. so I travel around a bit and every fish store I pass I usually stop in to see what they've got.
In my territory there is 8 Big Als, 9 SuperPet (now bought by Petsmart), something like 8 Petsmart, and about the same number of LFS. If I see something that interests me or an extra nice specimen, I pick it up.

I"ll have to check it out i live in wayne county.

20 min to an ok store with limited selection, but they ocassionally have some interesting fish. 1 hour to a pretty good store with a little more selection, 1 1/2 hours to an awesome store with way more selection.

My wife and I live in northern mexico....oops sorry...Southern California and as anyone famillier with it knows...anything under a 2 hour drive is concidered around the block. That said...for normal supplys we like to stick to one of the LFS about 5 miles away. We do make a long sweep of LFS on occasion just to see what they have.

15-20 very good ones
90mins to the incredible one!
