How fast can your filter clear water?

I just sit heavy décor that's already in my tank on top of my not sucken wood (in such a way that they don't fall!) and dig it into the substrate where possible. By the time I remember that there's a reason my scape looks funny, the wood has sunken.

I've only sunk three bits of wood and only two were in tanks, and technically one still floats if I take the rock and other wood off it.. But I thought I'd share anyways.

Thanks for the info. I hope I did not hurt my self to badly, after 43 years of using my teeth to crimp and remove fishing lead sinkers.

just use a stainless steel screw an screw it down to a rock or tile
