How fast do Bala sharks grow?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Mine have grown from about 1 1/2 inches to appromimately 7 inches in a year. They have also filled out quite a lot. I don't know what helps their growth mine get shrimp pellets, flake and they love cucumber and courgette

Why is this in brackish and marine? They are not sharks they are cyprinids... lol.

Can a mod move this forum to the right thread it belongs in?

and bala shark is not even a REAL shark at all :D

typically they grow really really slow so this is amazing to me!! lol. anyway the average bala shark from what ive heard will grow typically about 1-3 inches a year. so i guess if it is in a large tank and being treated extremely well this can increase but something that a lot of people don't realize is that they may start off small and skinny and whatnot but they will get huge. I saw some in Vegas that were easily 2' long 8-12" tall and prob 3-6 inches fat!! so dont underestimate them either. I think it takes around ten years to get full grown.
