haha awesome :headbang2 i have another one from The Grudge, ill be using that one soon :)
Thanks for the change. Not sure it's much better though.

You'll do fine to put a few loaches in your tank. You'll get to have them probably two years before even considering swapping them out.

A 20 gallon can be used as a growout for the smallest clowns, but their growth rate in the first year can be surprising with very clean water and a good varied diet. Without another tank to move them to, I would recommend against it.

When they get to big, he was planning on taking them back to the fish store.

I've found my pack to have very different growth rates, so don't bet on them staying small! I've had one little one, (bought at 1 1/2inch) for about 2 years that's hardly grown - maybe put on an inch.
I got 2 the same size a year ago and they're now about 4 inches! See pics!

:iagree:

Comment from another thread I posted in;

"My fastest growing clown loach needed 2 years to grow from 2 inches to 8 inches and is still growing strongly. I also had a friend years ago who got a cl to grow from 1.5 inches to 6 inches in 6 months by feeding earth worms. The loaches´ partner only reached 2.5 inches on the same diet however. I guess growth rates can vary greatly under optimal conditions. I´ve noticed that some individuals are just plain and simple pigs... I mean pig loaches of course :D"

And just for the record i´m not in agreement with some hobbyists who recommend limiting feeding to keep cl´s small as this affects their health adversely. You should also think about the number of individuals in the school you want to keep cause cl´s do much better above 5 individuals. They´re great fish, you should do them justice though and give them enough space.
