How fast do Gar's grow ?

To start of with it will be that big ( see picture ) , then in a couple of years time i will probily make a larger 10foot + pond .
I think he means about raising it up.

Why should i not raise it up ?
I have seen alot of raised ponds made the same way that i what to do mine , i see no fault on doing it my way as long as the floor under neather the shed is solid and that the floor is made and supported correct they will have no problem .
And yep changed my mind on getting a Gar .

Mate, get the pond up and running then grow-out one of these beasts. If it is a gator it will not take so long to grow him out for this pond ^^
Ok i am going back to my LFS in the next week or so hopfully to get some idea on what fish to get for the pond , what price they are and start saving for them , Still think of gtting a Clown Knife , but not the RTCxTSN now . Ill have a look if they have corrected the name on the Gar's if not ill ask and see if i should get one or not .
I ordered the shed last night should be here ever tomorrow or Monday , as soon as it comes ill get it up and insulte it , see if my Grandad can sort out the electrics for me or if ll have to wait after Xmas for them to be done , not really borthered if they get done now or after Xmas as i will not be starting to build the pond until Febuary or March when i have got a bit of money saved to get the wood and pond liner to start , then have a look about for the correct filter and heater and save for them .
