How fast do.....grow

I've had one that was 6" without the fins...he was a bruiser....he female was 4"....they were freakin rabbits! *grrr*....they grew up pretty fast too cuz they were kept in the 300 gal as dithers! lol....i dunno how fast the fry gro though....whenever i got them i would grow them to a certain size and then feed them to my fish...hehehe...they served their cause. They grow about the same as any other cichlid...nothing special. Want a fish that grows fast get pike cichlids, oscars, or pbass...some of the fastest growin cichlids right there...

convicts do grow big, in dirt ponds. i've seen 7 to 8" individuals.

My convicts are growing quite fast. If you have a tank of all males only, they usually grow a really nice nuchal hump. However, if you introduce a female, their humps tend to shrink or decrease.

I think that aquamojo has a really big convict around 7".

the large pink convict on the first page is aquamojo's. the forum i got it from said that it was 8.5 inches

my baby convicts are 4 months old now and are probly an inch i have 2 legft and traded the rest 4 a texas hybrid
