No offense, but you did ask a question that has been asked a billion time. Basically everytime you wake up and turn the light on he is bigger lol. They grow super fast usaully nut it depends on the space of the tank.

mine is wierd then cause its not growing very fast. its keeping pace with my tsn but that seems to be growing slowly. my rtc and rtcxtsn are blowing up like someone pumps them up with an air pump every night while im sleeping.

Pangasius catfish, the common ones like ID sharks, grow pretty fast I'd say 1-2" a month if fed properly and allowed enough space to grow. Pangasius Gigas grows much slower only maybe 1" a month if that and aren't available in the US legally.

If you're just inquiring about their growth rate, great. But if you're thinking about buying one, the smallest tank I'd start with is a 240 gallon which will be good for a year or year and a half tops. This species needs lots of swimming space and will get 2ft+.

Pangasius catfish in ponds grew to 880-g ( from 190 grams) in the same 78-day period, with an average FCR of 1.17:1. Pangasius catfish harvested from the three trial cages were uniform in size and had good body color and conformation.

Scientific Name(s): Pangasius hypophthalmus, Pangasianodon hypophthalmus, Helicophagus hypophthalmus

Common Name(s): Iridescent Shark, Pangasius Catfish

Family: Pangasiidae

Species Type: Asian Loaches/Catfish

Maximum Size: 48 inches

Life Span: 20 years

Natural Habitat: Asian rivers

Minimum Tank Size: 2000 gallons

Tank Region: Bottom

Possible Tank Mates: This species is not suitable for aquariums of any size due to their adult size.

Description: They are difficult fish to care for, despite their being easy to acquire. They grow very large, and easily outgrow even large tanks. As they are fairly active swimmers, they need a lot of open space in their tank. Floating plants seem to reduce this fish's nervousness, as they provide shade. Bright lighting is unnecessary and even harmful, as it will make the fish skittish. The iridescent shark can be purchased in an albino form and an artificially dyed form. The dyeing process is very harmful to the fish and should not be supported. These fish can be quite nervous are easily spooked, and have very bad eyesight. Not recommended for home aquaria because of the large size they attain.
