how fast do RTCs grow?

a lfs has a cute little 2incher and i would just love to take him home with me, but i know i dont have the room for an adult, heck iv had trouble keeping the fish i have much less making room for one more lol. i have the feeling though they are one of those fish that grow tremendously. ...... what if i just didnt power feed?

they grow extremely fast 1"-2" per month with the right diet, the bio-load is overwhelming good luck

hahahaaaa, no thank you. think ill sit this one out. love the fish but cant handle that right now. would love to see pictures of your's though. perhaps i can live vicariously for a moment and get the fascination out of my system for the time being.

Even with little feedings expect 1" Per month maybe more.

In the time that it took to write this responce I beleive mine just grew another inch

My RTC has been on a hunger strike for no good reason for the last month or so, while my hybrid is eatting all the extra food and growing like a weed!
The RTC will eat one small silverside a week... or I can get it to eat some feeders i've qt for a while, but i really don't want it on live, so I only do that when I start getting worried, and then it has to eat them outta my hand. All in all the RTC has probably grown half if not less than the hybrid has, and they hybrid was about .5" smaller when i got them.

and if it's not growing 1'' a month, then your stunting it, not endless you got him in a 55gal. but just wait for the growth spert.
