I would say your ok just keep feeding until tail is nice and fat and watch it grow. I bought the first of this years batch and she put on 2" in past 3months.and what type of worms trout, euro red or night crawlers?

I'm feeding him red wigglers which he can eat whole and nightcrawlers which I usually cut and stuff with soaked pellets

It will blow up in size in no time. In my opinion rays won't grow till they are fully fattened up. Also male I bought later from different place has been slower. Also Pedro usually deworms before selling. Is that the ray as your avatar
Looks nice and fat but tail is still needs a bit just keep it up and he will grow also very nice pattern
