How filthy is this tank....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
lol that guy assumes everyones an idiot...

i actually don't concider green algae a type of "filth". filth is more to do with ammonia/nitrite and poop. like in finding nemo, that was totally BS. typical movie. that is not what a dirty tank looks like, maybe one with an seriously BAD algae bloom.

also this hose wont work with a sand bottom like i have. and this video proves her tank is REALLY under filtered!! whats she got on there? looks like a 20 gal with like a 5gal filter...

ALSO, theres a second vid in that videos "other videos" section labeled "cool new way to clean fish tank" its all blue gravel and the guy is an IDIOT. he says "this is how you clean all the poop and never loose any water!" HELLO!! Water changes???

idno i just get really ticked, whats worse than a junk fish keeper who doesn't know how it should be done is one that doesn't know how its done AND teaches their ways!

If you look at about 43 seconds you can see her bucket already has dirt or something in it even before she puts water

looks like spinach..

wth.... /smack!

let the gravel build up in the tube? for all that work it's takeing out maybe 20% of the build-up. and thats a maybe.. If i went in there like that my fish would give me dirty looks for weeks every time I went near the tank. nothing like a cloud of fish debris filling the table of an underfiltered fishtank, and clogging it up.

The only thing she did right... was get the syphon going. Though a healthy mouthfull of tankwater is all about being a fishkeeper! lol

unbelievable she felt inclined to give others a demonstration lol.... And the dudes voice and camera work had me cracking up reminding me of other kinds of home movies. That water was completely disgusting.. Poor tiger barbs. Maybe shell give us some tips on water testing next time :)

IMO this is not a good way to clean a tank. when you let the gravel out of the tube your also letting all the crap you want out of the tank. i pull the tube up just above the gravel and let the gravel fall out and then continue never stopping the flow so that all the crap i pick up does not fall back into the tank ..

and how dirty is that water ??? my water never has more then a slight brown tint to it never ever have i not been able to see the bottom of my bucket...
