i have been given a filter and i want to know which tank i should put it into. its an eheim aquaball 2208510, i think. thats what its says, but i dont have any bits for it. it has a tubular sponge and a smaller compartment which i presume is for carbon or something. its says the turnover is 480 lph. i have a 66 litre tank and a 91 litre tank. which would it be best for?

What is your stock on the tanks?

ok, in the 65 there are 5x neon tetra, 5x 1 inch cherry barbs, 1x 1.25 inch leopard danio, 2x 1 inch zebra danio, 1x 0.5 inch albino cory and 1x 3 inch albino common plec (not a permanent home for him, just until i get my big tank), only a little filter right now until i fix my fluval 2+.

in the 91 there are 1x 2.5 inch dalmation molly, 1x 2 inch dalmation molly, 2x 1 inch dalmation molly, 1x 2 inch red honey gourami, 2x 2 inch pepper cory, 2x 2 inch bronze cory, 1x 3 inch Bn pleco, 4x 1 inch silvertip tetra and 1x 2 inch silvertip tetra. this tank already has a fluval 3+ filter and i am waiting for a fluval U3 to arrive.

i figured that. will it be ok on its own for that tank, and what media do i need in there? there is a small round section which i assume is for bio balls or a tubular carbon sponge of some description?

Yep put it in the 65 and if i were you i would just put in a more course sponge :) Good luck!
