How hard is it to breed bettas

only tried breeding them once. had about 300 fry, all sold to a LFS. Made a good $75 off of them since they were F1/F0 fry. Would never do it again.

I doubt they are F1's. F0's are wild and F1's are babies from the F0 (wild)

If you use a bigger female it might be more harder for the male to squeeze her to drop the eggs unless he is bigger then her. Make sure you have BBS when I use BBS the frys seem to grow a lot faster the any other food I've used. I usally use BBS then after 2 months I use blood worms and then after 3 months I use black worms to feed them. It really depends how fast you can grow them for me about 3/4 to 1 inch per month

Do you use BBS as first food?? Or do you use stuff like infusoria or microworms also?

BBS might be too big to start them off.

Start with infusoria by dropping a leaf inside and the microorganisms will grow by themselves.

i think it might be some aquatic plant's leaf. or a lettuce leaf.
