How hard is it to make a simple stand for a 65?

technically one 2x4 could hold the weight... so you could probably do it if you've ever done any type of wood working before. Go for it!

U could go to a home improvement store get the wood and have them cut it. Saves alot of time then all u have to do is assemble. That is what i did for my 200 gallon.

Yep, they can cut everything to dimensions you need. I spent maybe $250 on my stand for my 150g, but I did the best I could to make it very nice. You could easily get by spending less then $50 if you werent going for looks at all.
