I am helping a guy setup a display pond at work thats about 100 gallons. I thought that if it was filtered with an XP3 or something equivelent that the carbon could help reduce the risk posed to the fish> (kids are going to throw coins in no matter what). I think they just want some goldfish of some sort in there. What are other fish that could work well in a small pond like that? keep in mind this is in a very public place....any other advice would be great! thanks in advance.

Have a look at this might help :D

I wouldn't worry much at all. All of the above reasons seem to be spot on. Its almost impossible to see a indoor public pond thats not loaded with coins. I mean, as long as you don't use pennies for the substrate i'm sure it will be fine. For example L.L.Bean up here in Freeport, Me has a trout pond in its store that is always full of coins. Trout are actually pretty succeptable to disease, and they always seem to be in good health. So Hakunna Matata my friend!
