I used to believe that 85% of people are stupid. That number is now 90%.

I do not get my information from social media. I do not get my science from reporters.

I also know that what makes the common person uncommon is common sense.

Here is the thing, there are thousands of doctors

How many physicians are in the U.S.?
As of March 2020, there were just over one million professionally active physicians in the United States.
https://www.statista.com/topics/1244/physicians/

How is it that most of them agree the vaccine protects people from dying or hospitalization from Covid-19? I know, it's a conspiracy. there is a secrect organization that makes thme do it. No wait, they are all being brain-washed by Chinese satellites. And they have to get to all the nurses as well. As of 2017,

Nursing is the nation's largest healthcare profession, with more than 3.8 million registered nurses (RNs) nationwide
https://www.aacnnursing.org/news-Information/fact-sheets/nursing-fact-sheet

About 1.25 billion people gave been vaccinated worldwide. If many of them are getting bad results from the vaccine, if many are dying from the vaccine where are they hiding them all. If the unvaccinated are actually not the ones dying, how have almost all 5 million American health care professionals not seeing all this and screaming their heads off about it?

What makes the common person uncommon is common sense.

I got my shots, I am back to wearing N95 masks. I have spent enough time in hospitals over the last couple of years (not related to the virus) to know I am not going to get covid-19 because I am making dumb choices. I remember getting my polio vaccine, I wish they had chicken pox, measles and similar vaccines before i got them. The same for shingles

What my observation of this virus is with Financials. Either the pandemic has almost destroyed your business completely or it has grown your business....not too many people are in between. I feel really bad especially for restaurant owners who are suffering....I own multiple businesses and both of them have thrived over the past 1.5 years......my security company has never been this busy....I take it from people losing their jobs to people turning to crime....businesses are upping security to avoid everything from vandals to looting. I also have clients like custom auto shops that tell me they have never been busier....for example I was at my Porsche tuning shop yesterday and he told me he 1 month back logged to work on my car...he said alot of his customers that can afford a 200k Porsche have been stuck at home...hence they online everyday shopping for upgrades for him to install. Thats why I say either really bad or actually really good .....not too many people stuck in between. I'd also like to add that people should expect this to be a new norm and stop expecting things to miraculously get back to normal.....there will never be a normal 40 hour work week at the office or completely filled restaurants or ball games ever as long as this virus is around. I been a covid hermit....I haven't been anywhere since it started but it's crazy when I see so many people starting to out again in places like Disneyland Hawaii Vegas etc...partying like it's all over....if things keep up the cycle will just continue..covid numbers will drop...people will act like it's gone....then they will rise....and we back to square one

Well, the UK football season kicks off tomorrow. For the first time in 18 months, due to our zero restrictions, full capacity crowds will be allowed.

A bit of perspective on this. Manchester United are by far the most supported club in England and they have a capacity of about 75000, which they fill every home game. United's typical support isn't just from the Manchester area, no, they have people flocking to their ground (Old Trafford) from all over the UK.

So, 75000 people penned into a football ground, not wearing masks, and then afterwards dispersing back to where they came from, the full length and breadth of the country!!!!

If that's not a potential super spreading event I don't know what is.

Why the delta variant is hitting kids hard in the U.S. and how we can prevent that in Canada (msn.com)

"Right now, things are really bad in the southern and southeastern parts of the United States," said Dr. David Kimberlin, with the Children's Hospital of Alabama and a professor of pediatrics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

"We have more pediatric cases, more pediatric hospitalizations, more pediatric severe disease cases than we've ever had throughout this pandemic," he said.

"What we're experiencing is much worse than it was even in the dark days of January and February … during the wintertime surge."

On a positive note . I can tell you that because covid shut down sport fishing in my area for almost a year .....the bay has never looked so good.....ever since sportsfishing boats reopend and are only allowed half capacity.....the fishing has been awesome.....the lack of fishing allowed the bay to rebuild....there is so much bait fish it's ridiculous in quantity and good size....its just a theory but I think it's a combination of no fishing and less boats in water ( pollution ) that allowed the wildlife to refresh. I took my son out on our boat last month and actually saw dolphins inside the bay which we never see...only seals usually....which leads me to believe there are just abundant amounts of anchovies in the bay right now

So happy to see some jurisdictions/employers making vaccines mandatory, especially in health care settings. Hopefully our province follows suit, so that outbreaks such as the one in our facility (triggered by an unvaccinated employee) can be avoided. Round three yesterday of deep nasal PCR swab, and a deep throat swab combo. Test results back 13 hrs later. (negative) Here in Alberta we currently have the highest active COVID-19 case count in Canada with 4,438 infected after 582 new cases were reported Friday.

Plans further protect people living, working in long-term care | BC Gov News

Public Health is taking an important step to address recent breakthrough COVID-19 cases in long-term care facilities, making it mandatory for all health-care workers in care homes to be fully vaccinated from COVID-19 by Oct. 12, 2021.

“We’ve made vaccination a top priority for long-term care and assisted living, with the vaccine campaign starting in December 2020. We saw an immediate and dramatic impact on COVID-19 cases in those living and working in these settings, showing the value of vaccination. However, in some situations, we are continuing to see COVID-19 cases in long-term care homes,” said Adrian Dix, Minister of Health. “We must take every precaution to protect our most vulnerable, and that means every person who works in long-term care and seniors' assisted living must be fully vaccinated.”

Americans with PhDs are most reluctant to get vaccinated against COVID (msn.com)

I think this has been mentioned already but do not recall if there was a link. In this study those with a PhD were the more reluctant to get the jabs. More so than those with less than high school.

I get that the everyone must get the shots advocates may figure those with less than high school are too ignorant to understand. However the rumors I have heard is those with PhD's are pretty smart.
I await the explanations for why the PhD folks do not have skipping the shots correct.

That is both interesting and surprising
