Radio host who regretted vaccine skepticism dies of COVID (msn.com)

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A conservative talk radio host from Tennessee who had been a vaccine skeptic until he was hospitalized from COVID-19 has died. He was 61.

Nashville radio station SuperTalk 99.7 WTN confirmed Phil Valentine's death in a tweet Saturday.

Valentine had been a skeptic of coronavirus vaccines. But after he tested positive for COVID-19, and prior to his hospitalization, he told his listeners to consider, “If I get this COVID thing, do I have a chance of dying from it?” If so, he advised them to get vaccinated. He said he chose not to get vaccinated because he thought he probably wouldn’t die.

After Valentine was moved into a critical care unit, Mark Valentine said his brother regretted that “he wasn't a more vocal advocate of the vaccination.”

“I know if he were able to tell you this, he would tell you, ’Go get vaccinated. Quit worrying about the politics. Quit worrying about all the conspiracy theories," Mark Valentine told The Tennessean on July 25.

“He regrets not being more adamant about getting the vaccine. Look at the dadgum data,” Mark Valentine said.

Phil Valentine had been a radio personality since he was 20 and became a popular conservative host by railing against a state income tax proposed by Republican then-Gov. Don Sundquist, the Tennessean reported.

The program grew into a nationally syndicated show that aired for 12 years on as many as 100 stations, according to the newspaper. At the end of the run, Valentine signed a three-year deal in 2019 that kept him on 99.7 WTN.

“Phil Valentine was a visionary for the conservative movement, and he made an enormous impact on the lives of many Tennesseans,” U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn tweeted. “My deepest condolences and prayers are with Phil’s wife, Susan, and his family. May they be comforted and surrounded by love during this difficult time.”

Since I had two of the injections (moderna) that are now fading in some ways, my hope is I have run into the virus -delta version and had a mild infection. That way I will have have the added protection of a natural immune response on top of whatever the shots did.

Just wanted to add to this, from the most recent research regarding this, an asymptomatic case of covid, in a person that has the vaccines does not appear to produce the large number of antibodies, seen in a person who has a symptomatic case of covid, followed by a vaccine. Which makes sense if one considers that our bodies know best, as to what level of protection they need to produce.

I had mentioned the following previously:
I'm starting to think that a natural immune response to an actual exposure, coupled with the 2 vaccines back in Jan/Feb, might not be such a bad thing at this point.

It seems that we are both on the same page with this, I just wanted to note that currently the science appears to be pointing in this direction, but the key to maximizing ones antibody levels seems to be one has to actually get sick, even a mild illness, vs being asymptomatic.

Some of the most recent published papers are covered by this UK doctor. He also discusses boosters, and potentially the no need of same.

Latest on Covid-19 by Dr. Ryan Cole (rumble.com)

Hello; (My comments) I saw a video by this doctor on another site. I searched for him to find the video and found the one above. It is different. In the other video he stated something which rang a bell with me. He stated that he was seeing an increase in vaccinated patients of some things after the shots. One was the herpes family of virus. The bell rang because my brother had a case of shingles right after getting the shots.

The above video is about vitamin D in the first minutes. Then he talks about a legal snag which he says is why a clinical treatment medication has not been approved for the covid. I do not know the legal details myself so you will have to check this out for yourself. What I think he said is if a clinical drug is approved then the vaccines will lose their approval or some such as that.

He then talks about a medication ivermectin. Judge for yourself. I do not have good enough information to endorse his comments with confidence.

He then describes his definition of vaccine. Talks about what the shots actually are. Talks about what I sometimes call the “holes” in the vaccines.

Hello; Here is a video where he mentions herpes and the loss of T-cells after the shots. Not the same one I saw before but with the information. He also mentions other things he has noted as part of his job. It is much shorter.

Again I do not know what level of confidence to put onto his talks. I found these two videos on a site called RUMBLE. Look it and him up. I do not know if he is factual or full of it. My brother did have a case of shingles (a herpes virus) right after his shots. This is the first possible explanation I have seen for that. Makes me want to know more at the very least.

Hello; My brother did have shingles after getting the shots. The NIH does hold joint patents with companies is my understanding. Some other than him have suggested taking Vitamin D even if a case specifically for covid has not been determined. I do not know for sure about the vaccines or the ivermectin myself and will keep looking into information as I find it.
I had dismissed my brothers shingles and an odd thing which happened to me after the shots as not related to the shots until I saw the video. He may be wrong about some of the things he says but he called the shingles. I still do not know how much confidence to have in his statements just as i stated in my previous post.
