How has the recession effected you?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
So basically in a few months or so our USD will be worthless? Well that sucks, how are we supposed to buy things and all that jank?

BTW...how do you convert to other currency?

Welfare is going to go haywire then eh?

I haven't done the foreign exchange in about 2 years now, but I think right now is a good time to buy other currencies. The stock market and foreign exchange is really the reason why I was able to retire at the age of 29. If you are good with math then you can do this like I did.
At first you may only make a few extra dollars, but then in no time it will be more and more and more. Then you can retire! :)

so im in this mix, and if anyone in San Diego wants to help me move some big fish and big fish tanks in the next few months, im gonna really need it =[

The average guy is going to believe whatever he is told to believe by the media. The sky isn't falling for everyone. Fortunes are being made right now (lasting fortunes, not the tech-type of recent memory).

This whole thing becomes one big self-fulfilling prophecy when it is run over and over on the news. Heck, bottled water costs more per ounce than gas does......... and people are drinking bottled water like it's going out of style (in a country with some of the best tap water in the world!).

The thing that gets me, though, is how no one saw the housing crisis coming (that is a generalization of course). Politicians were quoting "highest level of home-ownership ever!" --- taking full credit without anyone noticing the bubble that was swelling and waiting to burst. No way the "experts" can be that stupid, but the politicos from both parties don't care about anything but the NOW!

i see it as living smarter, i car pull to save money and i dont have to deal with all the stupid traffic. now if everyone car pulled then there would less the half the cars on the road meaning better mpg and lower gas prices. i alsao plan in investing in the smart windows so my house has left of a draft making it more comforting and cheaper utilty bills

We would use less gas if we "pulled" our car:D

Any economic cries of wolf will not be heard by me. The economy is an equilibrium, and will balance out naturally. That means sometimes things won't be favorable, and sometimes they will.
