How has your Bichirscaping changed over the years? Pics pls before and after.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Your bichirs look great. I have 2 endlicheri. the biggest I believe is 10 inches and the smallest is 4. I also have 3 marble goby 2 at 7 inches and 1 at 4.5 inches. They are pretty cool don't move much unless stalking food non the less awesome fish

Thanks! Love the gobies as well. My marble is around 14" they are beasts

Very nice setup. How big is yout weeksii now? By the way, add some bolbitis. They are very awesome plants care is similar to anubias and java ferns. I have a 2 feet tall one growing in my tank.

Thanks King, appreciate the heads up on bolbitis. Earlier in the year I taped him when he was flush to the glass, just a touch over 22". Since then I have not had or rather taken the chance to get another measurement.

How does one go about changing from gravel to sand? Iv recently learned i can use pool filter sand for tanks n wana switch especially since i have a new p. Polli. What is the best way? Do i just put my fish in rubber maid containers, drain the water till 20-30% n just start scooping?

How do u keep the ammonia down with a take like that? Is the faucet basically attached to the tank n just left on while theres an overflow flowing to a bottomless sump?
