How I clean Eheim 2217 Filter(pic heavy)

Yes I am on untreated well water. I didn't go back and review what I had written but I think I may have noted that.

I still use a 5G pail of tank water to store and rinse the bio media but I don't think there would be a problem rinsing the mechanical media and pads in treated tap water.

I would rinse nothing but the canister itself in anything but used tank water. but that just me, 180 filling atm, water change day, only 300g more to go. just wanted to clear that up for folks new to fish keeping and on city water. never rinse your filters in city/tap water. the chlorine will kill your bio filter. always tank water.
