How I got my Gars to accept pellets

Your problem is glaringly obvious; you need to ditch the arowana in the very least and possibly the clown knife.

Would you please explain for me what sort of problems those two may poses on my FL-Gar?
They get along very well & I love all of them... The ONLY problem I'm facing with that combination is that the Gar is sluggish & doesn't compete for food compared to the other two. & I'm compensating for that by putting more feeder fish & wait & make sure that he gets his share...

mine doesnt really touch the pellets i feed the other fish but is a fan of freeze dried krill! not as nice as pellets but much cheaper than feedining only live fish all the time!

Quick update:

All three beasts are on pellets/dried shrimp diet...
The key is to stop feeding them live feeder gradually & introduce pellets... my gar went in long hunger strikes then he gave up & now he is so happy with his current "live feeder-free" diet...
