How "I" Keep My Water Clean...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Great collection of fish, and they all appear very healthy. I'm a firm believer in large regular water changes, there's nothing better for a fish if the water parameters going in match those being drained out.

Having said that, I personally think that you are removing a few inches too much, causing stress to the fish & potential trauma when they start flopping about.

Yes, I was side track when doing wc. usually they are upright :) Wont happen again

How often do you do the water change?

I am limited to only doing it every friday :( "THE WIFE" issue...

I'm pretty sure you weren't "side tracked" if you were taking a video of them flopping about :-/

Saw this video on the "other" forum when MFK was down and everyone commenting asid they couldn't voice their opinions ... lol how strict are they over there, sheesh

I'm all for big water changes, but that is just ridiculous, I'm sorry. When you have fish trashing and flopping around the tank, bashing themselves on rocks, it seems like you're doing it purely for the 'Youtube shock value' :thumbsdow

This is rediculous... so much stress on the fish. They may not have died but you can definatly help them work their way to death doing this consistantly.

I would do 50% water changes twice weekly. It will be less stress on the fish, and less stress on your hot water heater and consequently your electrical bill.

Haha thats crazy... poor fish!!
I like your stock though some quality fishes!
