I'm okay, but one of my friends was in that camp, and luckly he didn't get hurt at all.

It was a hellish night, the sirens were on for the most in years for Lincoln, and there was a wall cloud really really close to our house, so we were really lucky

How is the weather forecast now.. i hope you all get a break that you need because i would be packing..:(

I just checked out Weather Underground, man, Iowa's getting hammered by all that sh*t that hit us last night, I'm glad I don't live over there.

There's more crap down in Kansas that's just sitting there brewing up to be a real nasty storm. So far, it doesn't look like it's moving anywhere except for rotating (bad news for the Kansas people), but who knows, the weather has been really really stupid the past few days, so we might get hit by that, too.

But, as I said earlier: That's the price for living in Tornado Alley during Tornado season; you never know what you're going to get at any given time, it could be blue skies, then not even ten minutes later the sirens could be blazing and you could in your basement.

Sometimes I love this time of year, sometimes I absolutely hate it.

so this is all Tornado alley... boy did they call it right.. i quess your hating it this year.. i would never take the stress of not knowing ...i mean i know you can get hammered anywhere at anytime because mother nature calls the shots but it is predicted where you are and yet still they just don't know when and where...

I know.

Over the past years, tornadoes have come real close, but they have never actually hit Lincoln for as long as I can remember (which is only about 14 years), and last night, the sirens probably went off for hours at a time, maybe about six or seven times, not to mention that it was extremely dangerous because of all the rain, and you couldn't see through the clouds, so you couldn't tell what was a tornado and what wasn't.

And, it turns out that the 'confirmed tornado' wasn't a tornado at all, it was just a funnel cloud that got rain-wrapped, and the storm spotters thought it'd be better to be safe then sorry, so they had the sirens go off again.

Thanks for your support, I really hope we don't get anything too bad.

Tell me about it. In this region, supercells NEVER stay together for more than 2-3 counties. Last night a storm developed 10 counties away from me with confirmed tornadoes in every county it went through clear until it reached Nebraska and Mizzou. I have lived here my entire life and never seen a storm stay together for that long..... I have also never seen an f-ing tornado warning at 2 in the morning........ Storms ALWAYS die out before midnight around here......

We had golf ball size hail (again) and 2 inches of rain (again X4). Tornado 20 miles from my house (again X2).:nilly:

I can almost guarantee that now the Missouri river has rose another foot.:WHOA: If this keeps goin, we may have another flood like 1993:eek:

We have never actually had a tornado in the city limits for 150 years.... But in the last 2 weeks we have had 2 tornadoes within 15-20 miles....

Do you guys remember hearing about Hallum?

They got hit with a real nasty tornado a few years back (it was in the F3-F5 range I think) and it nearly wiped out the entire town, and last night there was another big tornado heading toward them, but apparentally their sirens are broken, so they couldn't really be warned.

I'm not sure if they got hit, but I certainly hope not.

Cedar Rapids is severely flooded. They originally anticipated a crest of 21.5 feet, which is 9.5 feet above flood level. They are now saying by noon tomorrow, the Cedar River will crest between 32 and 33 feet!!! God help us all.

You can see pictures of the devastation on Yahoo's main page in the news section.
