Hey guys!

Well so far in my saltwater tank I have:

1- 2 1/2 inch porcupine puffer
1- 5-6 inch Snow flake eel
1- 3 inch long nose hawk fish
1 - 2 inch Black and White Ocellaris Clown fish OR Clark Clown fish looks very similar
1- Rose Bulb Anemone
6- Large turban snails------- Guy at petgoods, friend left them on the l
3- small hermit crabs-------- rock I purchased.

50 Pounds of live rock 72 Gallon Bow Front Tank
Fluval fx5
Live Sand 2-3 inch deep
Rena Smart Heater

Glass Hinges and lighting fixture with both marine glo bulb and regular
aquarium flourecent bulb.

Protein skimmer coming in soon

Under the tank I have a 10 gallon quarentine/hospital tank.

Few questions:

I know how the puffer fish in the future may eat the crustaceons, but I mean how do you think the fish are together?

Also is thier anyway I can help or persuade the clown fish into hosting the anemone? If not I know how Maroon Clowns normally host these anemones....

My anemone is about 3 inches wide, I heard something about cloning, that the anemone splits itself certain times....also is it true the biiger the clown the faster anemone grows?

Thanks also any suggestines on set up mwould help too...

Hey man...things are looking good...I hope I can answer your questions...

Amphirion clarkii should be almost a teardrop shape...the ocellaris should be "nemo" shapped...I know. I hate myself for having to use that as well.
The Clarks also have longer "flowing" fins...their caudal fin should also be entirely white.

We will have to see...pretty small tank for all those fish. Especially the large preds. I bet damsels and clowns become meals if the eel gets a chance at them.

Most clowns love the RBTA...but you are right, some like it more than others. You should do some research on clown/anemone types. Seeing as how its probably going to be hard to get the anemone out...you might have to just switch clown types.

They split when they feel like it. Some say its due to light, some say its due to feeding. I had a buddy who had one that was splitting pretty regularly...then it just stopped. A thing to know about the RBTA is that it is a light hog, and will move to the top of the tank most likely...so if you are planning on keeping other cnidarians keep that in mind.

Its SOUNDING good...we need pictures.

Another thing...if the RBTA is the only "fleshy" coral type thing in the aquarium it is probably only a matter of time till your clown adopts it regardless. Although Im not expert enough to know if there are some anemones that certain clowns CANNOT, or WILL not inhabit. There really is no way to encourage them to live anywhere...they will set up shop in some of the weirdest places. You just have to wait and see.

lol thank the tank looks rather nice, yep that anembo is the only one in thier with just a bunch of live rocks. In about a week or two if the clown which now It is definitly a Black and White...long name lol doesn't seem interested in the anembo I will switch it out with a marron clown. Well I will post some pictures up very soon of the tank, also it doesnt matter what size of the maroon right? I would like a big one so it can nat be eaten by the snow flake lol. Also the puffer when it gets older I'll probably give him to one of my friends who has like a 340 gallon predetor tank lol.

tank setup sounds good to. I dont think you will have enough light for your nem. Regular flourescents will not produce enough healthy light for any coral under long term conditions so look for signs of stress. If your nem dies, it will destroy the tank with huge ammonia issues. And if your puffer dies, they release a poison toxin that will nuke a tank as well. So Keep that in mind as well. I would get maroons regardless. Pred tanks are really all there suited for due to there size and aggression level with other fish. This means they will be able to hold there own.

lastly, COD, good game. are you on xbox or PS3?

First off I play cod on xbox 360 and my gamer tag is Italianboy196....also I'm well aware about my puffer, I may give him away. Also my anemone settled under a brand rock, If it wa nted more light wound't it climb above it?

If you haven't done so already, make sure to protect the Anemone from overflows or powerheads with some sort of guard. Sometimes Anemones will balloon up at the base and float around. You don't want it getting sucked into the propellers and getting chopped up. If caught early they can still survive but it's still a bad scenario.

oh ok well I'll make sure of that, also when I remove my puffer and possibly the blacka and white oce...The inhabidants would be the snow flake eel, snails, crabs, anemone and the long nose hawk fish.

I plan on keeping it as a mixed tank, some agressive/peaceful fish. The eel only eats fish smaller than it's mouth. Also I will most likely add a maroon clown and what other fish can I place with them?
