It's just a matter of what scholarships I can get that will lead to where I go. It depends on in state of out of state and or public or private. I have the grades and test scores on my side.

It also depends on how well I swim this summer.

I'm a licensed mental health counselor; currently supervise a team of direct care staff who work with severely mentally ill persons in an outpatient community type setting. Dabble a bit in outpatient therapy and occasionally teach at my local community college.

Right on I have not met many people that can go from a cnc to manual or vise versa. I don't know about where you are but it is mandatory to do cnc in your apprenticeship here. Just passed my cnc course for lathe so I'm happy about that.

I've been doing this for 10 years. Youll pick up alot over the years. I'll give you some advice talk to the old timers they can teach you alot and watch your fingers dropping a big block of steel on them don't feel good I know from experience lol

I run a group of plants that turn air into liquid nitrogen, oxygen, argon and some others that take feedstock and/or natural gas and turn it into liquid hydrogen. 12hr rotating shifts. Been at it for almost 20yrs now. It's certainly nothing I dreamed of doing back in the day, it just kind of happened. LOL. I got into it with an associated degree in mechanical engineering and the company paid for a bachelors for me. All funds go to my darling bride and 4 kids.. If anything is left, I'll put some into my sickness.. I mean hobby.

I try not to get my fingers under anything heavy lol. I have got my fingers stuck in pneumatics die press before. Good thing it was only at 60 psi or it would have really hurt.
Funniest thing I did se was the aftermath of my boss (tool&die) tipping the mill over and smashing the power feed handle and everything right off it.

I maintain security equipment at prisons. I also do a lot of volunteering on the side with Fire, Hazmat and SAR, which actually ends up giving me some nice annual honorarium bonuses.
