hey guys just wondering how large these beasts can grow..and how long till they reach sexual maturity! peace sorry if i mispelled or sumthing...im a stingray noob who had a dream last night...now i wana keep stingrays!!!

I think it's size more than timeframe for maturity. Some grow slower than others. I've had my wild caught pair for almost 5 years and they're just getting to that point...
Maturity is more of a age matter then size. With proper feeding any leo can easily reach 20"+ in 2-3 years. Just like others have posted some mature at 13" what I would like to know is how old was that 13" leo at the time. Of course a 10" female leo is not going to breed nor have I ever heard of one breeding at that size, I have heard of males breeding at around the 12" size not any females.
Leopoldi Stingrays are pretty cool looking! We have a Motoro right now, my husband didn't realize it would get so huge when he brought it home, so we'll have to give it up, but I think we could house a Leopoldi in a 180 gallon?? maybe a 220? Where can I purchase a Leopoldi in Canada? we're on the West Coast in Kelowna, BC. I'm a little worried about shipping from the States since packages can sometimes get stalled at the border.

You can't house a fish that has a disk size of 20+inches in a 24" wide aquarium. Just picture how that would look. Plan on a width of at least 36".
