How long are your lights on?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I really don't have much of a set schedule. I turn the lights on when I'm home and in the room to enjoy them and I normally turn them back off when I'm about to go to bed. As I work some really weird shifts, there's no real rhyme or reason to it. My fish don't seem to be affected by it.

Moved to setup and filtration.

On a daily basis? Maybe a few hours if that.

I just turn them on when I feel like it. The fish don't care unless perhaps they are in a dark basement for cellar. Ambient light is plenty for them.

Display-
Daytime lights: 12:15-10:15pm
Moonlights: 10:15-5:00am

Everything else is done by hand so usually-
Daytime: 5 or 6 till 10
Nightlights: 10 until bed

Depends on the tank and its occupants but most roll on around 9:30 am and start shutting down around 9:30 pm. Tanks with plecos have dusk dawn settings an hour before and after and moonlighting.
