he's not going to starve himself to death with food there, it's just a battle of wills. He'll eat. He'll learn there's a lot of fun things out there to try to eat and enjoy himself, so it's a good hurdle for him to become a stronger eater in the end.

my last Arow went off food for 5 weeks and then started eating again.. i was not trying to starve him he just went on a hungar strike for some reason.. so i tried crickets and meal worms to get him going again.. what i would do is offer the pellet and if he snubs it then give him just one worm.. and let him be hungary but at least ate a little..then repeat that every day until.. he finally starts eating everything. even my jag eventually started eating pellets .. but i left him just a little hungary every day.. i could never starve any of them.. it is slow process the way i do it but so far it worked..now i am working on my clown knife.
