How long can bass go without eating

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I personally wouldn't even consider starving @3" feed whatever it will take and get some weight on it. Once its 6-7" if it is healthy you can go 5-7 days on occasion

i agree try lost of water changes and if you feed feeders try to get guppies and gut load them with quality food then when its bigger you can starve them for a couple of days, they should take them but its might take a couple of tries

I have 6x3" of them now. Weened them off from live to frozen and now training them with pellets. First i started with Massivore giving them small bits,, then food sticks and today i tried cichlid excel and most of them took it.
I think if you have a group of them it is easier as some of them will hit it and others follow suit eventually. Good luck with yours :)

My bass were eating a frozen BW cube thawd out and refrozen with massivore 3 times a day and two of them started eating just massivore pieces so what I did was take away the afternoon meal an offer only massivore then eventually take away the dinner and so on. Mine are 3 inches also. So I'm in the same boat I can't starve the rest that aren't eating lol.

I have been making the mixture for 3 weeks now lol two just started eating only pellets yeaterday haha it took a bit but if they eat BW thaw the tray out and crush up a but load if massivore and mix it in and when you feed them cut the BW cubes in chunks. I read it on here and it for sure works! My pbass probably wouldn't be alive and well if it wasn't for this site lol also the good people here!
