How long can juvenile bichirs go without eating?

What with the end of the world coming on the 21st, I’m afraid Duro (my bichir) won’t last very long. I’m not sure if I can train a zombie to feed him or not, so should I just dump a bunch of tilapia in there for him to munch on?

J/K, but for real, He hasn’t been eating for 2 days (I know they go on hunger strikes), so I was thinking about not feeding for the weekend and seeing how he does on Monday… or is that a bad idea? My concern is food piling up and becoming rotten or w/e and upping my parameters.

you have a weird baby there. My 3" palma polli gets fed 2x a day and that still isn't enough for him.

Any tank mates bullying him?

None yet, been thinking of getting a bushynose to help control the algea on the back, but none yet. I had some tilapia sitting there for two days before i removed it. The same place he always got fed, so he knew where it was and all, etc etc.

a juvie, 3 to 4 inches can live without food for around half a week.

I had a sick albino senegal of 4 inches that didn't eat for around a week. He/she went to heaven after that.
