heres two pics of my tank. one has the normal day lights on, the other has the moonlights on. both are not great pics, but you get the idea. also, i changed my mind about the timer, im going to leave the moonlights on all the time and leave only the normal daylights on a timer. (the reflection in the tank is a nightlight, its not comming from inside the tank)
moonlights add nice effects, they don't bother your diurnal species and actually allow them enough light to find a comfy/safe place to sleep, they also provide low levels of light for nocturnal species.
I may have to look into getting some of these. There has been a lot of good engineering in low voltage lighting the last coiuple of years and this type of fixture will be a lot cheeper and have more variation in colours with higher efficiency in the years ahead...
