I just added a 100gl Sump and I need to do some minor Modifications. I need to lower my drip plate and this requires me to turn off my sump for 2-3 days to dry... so, I guess im just thinking out loud and would I be good for lets say 4 days of just my FX5?

I am understocked in my 300... 15" VATF, 4 14" Polys, 10" Catfish and a 6-7" NTT. I plan to skip feeding for these days untill the glue is ready.

What do you guys think... over thinking it?

you're probably worried about nothing.. the FX5 can handle it, just add a large bottle of the bio-spira stuff into the tank when you start up the FX5. might not hurt to add a foamy, or at least an air stone.

yea you should be fine just do a water change the day you turn off the sump and the day you turn it back on and try not to feed your fish if you can.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that my FX5 has been running on my set up for about 2 years. Along with the media in my new sump.

Either the drip plate is to heavy or the force of the water and the weight knocked off one of the Siliconed legs in the sump. Causing the whole side to loose the legs. Now I have to beef it up :D

Thanks all :D

With the size of that vatf you are better off feeding and doing small water changesw while the sump is down. Gl big dog
