well, there growth depends on a few things. sizeof the tank, (basically if your gonna stunt them) and how often you feed them.at least thats what ive been told to understand.

...and water changes. Fish release a hormone that will reduce or retard growth when a certain concentration in reached, changing the water dilutes the hormone. The max hormone output time is during older adolescense (a teenage fish). This should be roughly 6 to 18 months old for a knife.

The minimum ive seen them quoted to live is 10 yrs. the maximum is twenty yrs. If you overfeed the fish then it will live a shorter life.

oh and Im not sure if the hormone that the fish releases stunts its own growth or just its tankmates

is 120gall big enough to house a CK? if not whats the max size i can keep one until?

this will be planty enough for one. it should get around the 2 foot mark if you properly take care of it. Good Luck
