the cost of feeding my snakes is trying expensive. I am considering buying in bulk to save money. How many years worth of mice could I keep in a deep freezer.

as long as they are not thawed and refrozen, they will stay fresh essentially forever. I have fed rats that were three years old with no ill effects. I usually buy mine a year at a time though since my inventory always changes and I do not want to be stuck with 40 medium rats and nothing to feed it too or something like that. Just something to consider.

Im still feeding my reptiles frozen fuzzies I bought almost 2 years ago as treats for them. Ive heard of them lasting over 5 years but idk how true that is

If you vacuum pack them, break the vacuum seal before you start thawing them... not from personal experience, but I have heard horror stories.

Usually if frozen right after being euthanized, they stay fresh for years in my opinion. I've fed rodents that died from diseases in my breeder tank but no side effect with my snake. It's how comfortable you're I guess. ;) cheers mate.
