as a pond is going to take sometime to build you may as well start now
that said he does look to have room but if he feeding well and the water is good he should grow fast
your water doesnt look that great from the pics but it could just be the cam
you will probably be ok for 6-12 months depending on the above

Well I have part of the frameing done on the pond. Just haven't had the tools and wood to finish it.
The sand is stilling cause I put it in lastnight a little before the ray went in. So the sand is still settling.
